HP & Lennovo Claim Laptops Have 30+ Hour Battery Life

Hewlett-Packard (HP) and Lenovo have announced laptops with a very interesting feature: battery lives of over 30 hours.



HP unveiled the HP EliteBook 8460p, which the company says offers

3-, 6- and 9-cell options for lightweight and extended battery run

time, and an HP Long Life Battery option for what the company says is

the highest-achieving notebook battery Hp hstnn-lb42 battery Hp pavilion dv7 batterylifespan on the market. The notebooks also are compatible with the new

HP Extended Life Notebook Battery and HP Ultra-Capacity Notebook

Battery. With the new HP Ultra-Capacity Notebook battery, the HP

EliteBook 8460p can achieve up to 32 hours of battery life.



The 32 hour battery life claim requires separately purchased HP BB09

Ultra Extended Life Notebook Battery and customer download of the

latest Intel graphics driver and HP BIOS. Notebook must be configured

with Intel graphics, optional Intel 160 GB SSD drive, HP LED HD Display

and requires Windows 7 operating system. Battery Hp probook 4720s batterylife will vary depending on the product model, configuration, loaded

applications, features, wireless functionality and power management

settings. The maximum capacity of the battery will decrease with time

and usage.



Lenovo also claims that its ThinkPad T420 can reach 30 hours of

power with an extended battery . With its standard 9-cell battery, the

ThinkPad T420 delivers up to 15 hours of battery life, while the T420s,

delivers up to 10 hours with its 6-cell and optional optical bay

battery combined. For extreme battery life needs, the ThinkPad T420,

with its standard 9-cell battery and optional 9-cell slice battery,

provides up to 30 hours of computing power.



In addition, Instant Resume, a brand new feature, is designed to

maintain a WiFi connection for up to 99 minutes when the laptop is in

sleep mode. The new feature is geared to users who want to stay

connected to a company’s wireless network HP pavilion dv2000 battery when moving from an office to a conference room, for instance, without keeping their laptop covers open.
